Is the current distrust in digital marketing truly warranted? Speaking to Mediatel at the conclusion of  The Future of Brands conference this month, Fetch’s chief operating officer, Greg Grimmer, says no – and took aim at digital marketing cynics.

“I don’t know where it has come from,” Grimmer says in the interview. “Two years ago everyone was blaming agencies for spending all their money with their TV mates and not embracing digital, and now, suddenly, digital is the Big Bad Wolf of the media owner flock.”

Grimmer said he found it “strange”, adding: “Are we all trying to go back to 1955? Digital clearly works – and it drives positive change.”
