The candidate

The Senior Search Manager is responsible for driving paid search strategy and overseeing the day to day management of paid search campaigns. The campaigns are primarily focused on user acquisition/DR for mobile apps executed across key platforms such as Google AdWords, Apple, Yahoo and others on a global basis. They will need to fully understand their clients KPI’s and goals and formulate plans that meet and exceed these goals.

The ideal candidate is data driven, detail oriented, and a self-starter who is excited to take on challenges and opportunities.

Key responsibilities

The right candidate will be responsible for the following tasks: 

  • Execute paid search campaign management best practices and processes. Follow appropriate optimization schedules, setup, and QA to achieve client KPIs.
  • Oversee planning, buying and optimization of paid search media across key clients .
  • Support team members with ad hoc trafficking, campaign management, and analysis.
  • Troubleshoot and solve technical issues.
  • Set realistic expectations for deliverables and make every effort to meet them with quality work
  • Maintaining and growing client search budgets

The ideal candidate should have the following qualities and skills

  • Experience in managing paid search campaigns across multiple clients.  Ideally with app focused clients
  • Client communication of strategies, tactics, and results
  • 2-4 years managing paid search media, programmatic, or paid social campaigns
  • Four-year degree. Degree in a quantitative discipline such as economics, finance, business, mathematics, computer science, or related
  • Analytical ability to understand, manipulate, and derive insights from data.
  • Fundamental knowledge of Microsoft Excel (including operations such as v-lookup, functions, pivot tables, etc.)
  • Familiarity of self-service platforms and management platforms
  • Familiarity of mobile trafficking, tracking, and attribution (Ideal – not required)
  • Self-starter and independent learner with project management skills
  • Ability to collaborate across a diverse cross-functional team
  • Familiarity working in an agency environment
  • AdWords certification
